A mixed exhibition, organised by Gökçe Sözen, called ‘ We are allone” opened between 12 and 20th November 2011 at the Tüyap Art Fair. 25 Turkish artists took part in the exhibition displaying their paintings, sculptures and illustrations. The theme of the exhibition drew attention to the estrangement phenomenon which Painter Gökçe Sözen investigated as a research subject for his dissertation in 2010, as well as it refers to the words of “We are allone”stenciled on walls by anonimous graffiti artists in Berlin.
“We are allone” (we are one and we are individuals) voices the discomfort brought by uniformity while aiming for oneness, through the contribution of the artists who took part in the exhibition.
